Un caballo murió desnutrido en el día de ayer domingo en el municipio de Santa Brígida, concretamente en una finca del barrio de El Gamonal.
Al parecer, fueron los mismos propietarios de la finca quienes llamaron a la Policía Local, cuyos agentes se desplazaron hasta la vivienda acompañados de un veterinario. Según los datos que se han conocido el veterinario habría apuntado la desnutrición y unos cuidados deficientes como causa del fallecimiento del animal, una circunstancia que, unido a la existencia de informes anteriores que señalan problemas con el cuidado de los animales en dicha propiedad, ha motivado a abrir una investigación ante la posible existencia de un caso de maltrato animal.
Por el momento no se han practicado detenciones en relación a este caso, pero es muy probable que el atestado se remita al juzgado de guardia una vez concluida la investigación.
