Aventino Rodríguez: «Visitar Tejeda este fin de semana es una cita obligada»

Aventino TejedaEn el municipio vecino de Tejeda está ya todo preparado para el inicio de sus fiestas más populares, las del Almendro en Flor, que este fin de semana congregarán a miles de personas en la cumbre grancanaria. Hablamos de ello con Aventino Rodríguez, concejal de Festejos del Ayuntamiento de Tejeda.

 

– Son las primeras fiestas que organiza como concejal. ¿Cómo las afronta?

Pues las afronto con muchísima ilusión, pero también con mucha responsabilidad porque son unas fiestas muy importantes para el municipio y la verdad es que la organización y todo lo que conlleva es complicado, pero para mí como tejedense es todo un orgullo poder organizar estas fiestas.

 

– Si pudiera definir estas fiestas en una palabra, ¿con cuál lo haría?

Canariedad.

 

– ¿Hay alguna novedad programada para las fiestas de este año?

En líneas generales novedades como tal no. Desde hace unos años la Feria de Artesanía se viene celebrando sábado y domingo. Antes se celebraba sólo los domingos, pero era tanta la afluencia de gente que el grupo de gobierno anterior, presidido también por Francisco Perera, decidió dividir la fiesta en dos días para evitar la masificación de visitantes. Desde entonces el sábado se celebra el llamado “Día del turista” y así el número de visitantes se reparte durante el fin de semana.

– ¿Cuáles son las previsiones de visitantes que maneja el Ayuntamiento?

Esperamos la visita de entre 15.000 y 20.000 personas durante todo el fin de semana.  

 

– Ante la gran afluencia de personas que se espera, ¿cómo será el dispositivo de seguridad?

Como cada vez nos visita más gente, el dispositivo de seguridad es cada vez más importante. Este año habrá unas 100 personas coordinadas, entre Guardia Civil, Policía Local, Policía Canaria, Cruz Roja, Protección Civil…

 

– Uno de los grandes problemas a los que se enfrenta el municipio cuando llegan estas fiestas es la falta de aparcamiento. ¿Se ha tomado alguna medida este año para paliar este problema?

Este año, igual que en 2015, hemos habilitado un servicio de guaguas entre San Mateo y Tejeda (ida y vuelta). Una parte del billete de los viajeros estará subvencionada por el Ayuntamiento. Con esta medida pretendemos aliviar el tráfico, evitando atascos, problemas de aparcamiento… Por otra parte, este año aún no se ha terminado la obra, pero para el próximo año esperamos que estén listos los nuevos aparcamientos que se están construyendo junto al cementerio y que tienen capacidad para más de 100 vehículos.

 

– ¿Qué organismos colaboran con estas fiestas?

Tenemos la colaboración del Patronato de Turismo de Gran Canaria y de Promotur. Sin su ayuda sería muy difícil realizar las Fiestas del Almendro.

 

– ¿ Por qué hay que visitar Tejeda este fin de semana?

Cualquier fecha es buena para visitar Tejeda, pero desde hace unos meses con más motivo si cabe porque Tejeda es ya uno de los pueblos más bonitos de España, y además es que la Fiesta del Almendro en Flor está declarada como Fiesta de Interés Turístico Regional, así que visitar Tejeda este fin de semana es una cita obligada.
