Cuando aún queda un mes para la celebración del evento, decenas de productores de diferentes puntos del Archipiélago han querido ya confirmar su participación en el que se ha convertido en uno de los mayores escaparates de los productos de la tierra en Canarias.

Según las previsiones de la organización y dada la cercanía del cierre del plazo de inscripción, en los próximos días podrían llegar nuevas confirmaciones que vendrían a completar el número de productores que, durante los días 9 y 10 de abril, expondrán en San Mateo lo mejor de sus productos: vinos, mieles, panes, mermeladas, quesos, dulces… y un amplio etcétera que convertirán un año más a La Vega en un municipio referente en la promoción de productos de toda Canarias.

Con el objetivo de dinamizar la feria, el ayuntamiento de San Mateo ha organizado una serie de actos que se prolongarán durante todo el fin de semana y que irán desde una actuación musical conjunta entre Los Sabandeños y Los Gofiones a un escaldón popular de gofio con chicharrones, pasando por un concierto del grupo La Trova, una feria de artesanía y la presentación de los equipos automovilísticos de la temporada 2016. Además, los más pequeños podrán disfrutar de castillos hinchables, mientras que la carpa de la Plaza del Pueblo será escenario del tradicional baile de los domingos.
