Este verano nace una nueva propuesta para los amantes del séptimo arte. Se celebra en Arucas la primera edición del festival de cine realizado a la carrera “Isla Guerrilla”. Constará de dos competiciones internacionales, una de cortometrajes, del 6 al 9 de julio, que premiará también al mejor corto rodado en Gran Canaria, y otra de gifs animados, del 1 al 4 de julio. Todos los trabajos serán ideados y realizados en 65 horas teniendo como punto de partida un desafío que se desvelará el día del comienzo de cada competición a través de la web www.islaguerrilla.com. El día 10 de julio, en el Nuevo Teatro Viejo de Arucas se proyectarán los cortos seleccionados y se desvelarán los ganadores de cada categoría dentro de la gala de premios. Las inscripciones ya están abiertas, son gratuitas y se realizan a través de la web.
El festival está organizado por el estudio creativo Perruncho Studio y cuenta con la colaboración del Ayuntamiento de Arucas. En palabras de los organizadores, es “una apuesta por el cine de guerrilla, en el que queremos primar las ganas, las ideas y la creatividad más allá de los medios técnicos”. El certamen busca reunir en Arucas a todo el que quiera “queremos que el festival sea un medio para conectar a creadores, aficionados y estudiantes canarios entre ellos, pero también con el resto del mundo, utilizando el teatro de Arucas para proyectar los trabajos presentados, pero también la red para difundirlos por todo el globo” nos comentan.
La iniciativa tiene un original método para elegir el jurado. Todo el que lo desee puede inscribirse ya a través de la web como aspirante a jurado. Días antes del comienzo tendrá lugar un sorteo del que saldrán los elegidos, que decidirán los premiados en el concurso de cortometrajes.
A partir del día 11 de julio se volverán a proyectar todos los cortos y gifs presentados y,por lo que nos cuentan, se anunciarán nuevas sorpresas para las próximas semanas que contribuirán a cerrar el programa de este festival.
