El proyecto fotográfico “Vidas truncadas” acerca a La Vega la realidad de los desahucios

Vidas truncadas san mateo junio 2016Las Concejalías de Cultura y Patrimonio y Servicios Sociales del Ayuntamiento de Vega de San Mateo, han organizado en colaboración con los fotógrafos Nieves Delgado y Sergio Déniz con el patrocinio del Cabildo de Gran Canaria, una muestra fotográfica que trata sobre la realidad cercana de los desahucios, denominada “Vidas truncadas” que será expuesta en La Caldereta Sala de Exposiciones.

Vidas truncadas nace de la necesidad de hacer visible el rostro de una parte de esta sociedad que vive al borde del abismo, de humanizar las cifras que la mayoría de los medios nos presentan de una manera fría y aséptica, rostros que esconden historias desgarradoras, pero al mismo tiempo llenas de dignidad, valentía y esperanza. 

Durante unos meses, los protagonistas de esta historia han tenido la generosidad de compartir sus vivencias con los fotógrafos, y a pesar de que cada experiencia es única, todos tienen en común un gran desgaste psicológico provocado por la angustia de la situación vivida. En su mente se produce una intensa tormenta de emociones que va desde la alegría al abatimiento, y que deriva en la mayoría de las ocasiones en graves problemas de salud. Ello ha ayudado a percibir que los desahucios son un problema real con devastadores efectos reales, tangibles, un gran drama que es consecuencia directa de la situación de indefensión y del entorno hostil que percibe el afectado. 

Pero, ante este panorama, han sabido cambiar las posturas derrotistas por un fuerte espíritu de lucha dejando a un lado lo que han perdido y poniendo el foco en los motivos para luchar. Para que se produjera esta catarsis ha sido fundamental el sentirse apoyados por el grupo, y construir por medio de la empatía y la solidaridad un entorno mas favorable. “Cada historia nos ha dejado una huella, casi una herida… y todos y cada uno de ellos nos han enseñado que en las peores circunstancias aflora lo mejor del ser humano”, comentan Déniz y Delgado.

Además, esta exposición viene acompañada de dos actividades. La primera tendrá lugar el jueves 30 de junio de 2016 a las 18:00h en la Casa de la Juventud del pueblo (C/ Placetilla de la Caldereta nº 4), una ponencia a cargo de Dª Elena Suárez Tarajano, portavoz de la Plataforma Stop Desahucios Gran Canaria. La segunda actividad se centrará en la muestra en sí, una visita guiada por los artistas por las fotografías que integran el proyecto. Será el miércoles 6 de julio a las 18:30h en La Caldereta.

“Estas actividades nos ayudarán a tomar conciencia de un problema real que estamos padeciendo en nuestra sociedad actual, hecho que no podemos dejar de lado”, argumenta la Concejal de Cultura y Patrimonio y Servicios Sociales, Iluminada Santana Santana.

La exposición será inaugurada el viernes 24 de junio a las 20:00 horas y estará abierta al público hasta el domingo 10 de julio de 2016, en el horario de sala de miércoles a viernes de 10:00 a 14:00h y de 18:00 a 20:00h, y sábados y domingos de 10:00 a 14:00 horas, permaneciendo lunes, martes y festivos, cerrada.
