Antonio Ortega pide la dimisión de Mercedes Roldós, Delegada del Gobierno en Canarias

Documento 112 Busqueda Carin BirgittaEl Ayuntamiento de San Mateo ha emitido este viernes una nota de prensa en la que el Alcalde del municipio, Antonio Ortega, solicita la dimisión inmediata de la Delegada del Gobierno en Canarias, Mercedes Roldós, cuyas palabras quedan en evidencia con un documento oficial donde consta que se tuvo constancia oficial de la desaparición de Carin Birgitta desde el jueves día 21. Reproducimos a continuación la nota de prensa:

«A la vista de las declaraciones realizadas por la Delegada del Gobierno en Canarias, Mercedes Roldós, en la edición del miércoles 28 de septiembre de 2017 del periódico La Provincia, en las que acusa directamente al Alcalde de San Mateo, Antonio Ortega, de mentir, asegurando que las instituciones no tuvieron conocimiento de la desaparición de una vecina durante el incendio de la pasada semana, este Ayuntamiento quiere comunicar lo siguiente:

A esta nota se adjunta documento oficial que acredita que el CECOES tuvo conocimiento de la desaparición de la vecina Carin Birgitta Ostman el jueves día 21 a las 20:57 h. En el mismo documento se especifica que a las 21:41 h. “el Puesto de Mando Avanzado solicitó la activación de una búsqueda de la persona desaparecida” y que a las 21:46 h. “se informa al COS de la Guardia Civil de la información disponible, solicitando la presencia de una unidad en el Puesto de Mando Avanzado para acompañar a los Bomberos hasta el domicilio”. Posteriormente, una hora y quince minutos más tarde, concretamente a las 23:02 h. “el COS de la Guardia Civil llama indicando que la unidad se encuentra en la rotonda de Montaña Cabreja, donde tenían que encontrarse con los bomberos, pero no hay nadie. Finalmente, el CECOES informa al COS que desde el Puesto de Mando Avanzado se indica que los bomberos y el Cuerpo General de la Policía Canaria ya se encuentran próximos al domicilio. Las comunicaciones del CECOES en este sentido finalizan a la 1:50 h. de la madrugada, cuando el cabo de Bomberos indica que han finalizado la intervención, dado que los efectivos de la Policía Canaria y el Alcalde realizaron una inspección ocular en la zona sin tener resultado.

En el mismo documento queda reflejado que a las 9:29 h. del viernes 22 de septiembre “se reitera a la Guardia Civil la petición de la dirección del plan y del Ayuntamiento de San Mateo, de iniciar las labores de búsqueda de la señora desaparecida”. Minutos más tarde, en comunicación telefónica con el Alcalde Antonio Ortega, la Delegada del Gobierno continúa insistiendo en la necesidad de que se formule una denuncia formal para activar la búsqueda. Sin embargo, desde las 8:30 h. la Teniente de Alcalde del Ayuntamiento veguero, Davinia Falcón, se encontraba en el Cuartel de la Guardia Civil de San Mateo, donde le comunicaron que no era necesario interponer denuncia porque ya tenían conocimiento. Así, no es hasta las 9:37 h. cuando, tras la insistencia de la Concejala por la pasividad demostrada por la Delegación de Gobierno, comienza a redactarse la comparecencia.

Esta cronología oficial de los hechos viene a demostrar que la Delegada del Gobierno falta a la verdad cuando afirma que no se tuvo constancia oficial de los hechos durante la jornada del día 21 de septiembre y que no fue hasta la mañana del viernes, cuando se formuló la denuncia, cuando se conoció la desaparición.

Por todo ello, el alcalde, Antonio Ortega Rodríguez así como su grupo de gobierno, solicitan la dimisión inmediata de la Señora María Mercedes Roldós Caballero, Delegada del Gobierno en Canarias. Por su falta de ética, porque “no es de justicia faltar a la verdad en ningún momento, y mucho menos en circunstancias en las que se pierden vidas humanas y parte de nuestro patrimonio medioambiental”. Y es que tal como señaló ayer la Delegada en sus declaraciones “no responde a la ética y mucho menos a la responsabilidad de quienes han sido elegidos por la ciudadanía para representarles en todo momento y ante cualquier circunstancia”.

Ante la gravedad de los hechos y ante la incapacidad manifiesta de la Delegada para gestionar estas trágicas circunstancias que han dejado una víctima mortal, y ante el intento de desviar responsabilidades hacia quienes sí se movilizaron, esta institución dará cuenta de todo lo ocurrido al Gobierno del Estado, así como a los grupos presentes en el Parlamento de Canarias y en el Congreso de los Diputados, por si fuera procedente depurar responsabilidades.
