La quinta edición de la Feria de Patchwork, que se celebra este fin de semana en San Mateo, ha congregado ya a miles de personas. Y es que tanto el viernes por la tarde como en la jornada de ayer sábado La Vega se vio colapsada ante la afluencia masiva de personas que no quisieron perderse la oportunidad de disfrutar de la feria.
A residentes y visitantes de toda la isla se unieron incluso grupos de personas llegados desde Tenerife y Valencia, que llegaron hasta la Vega en viajes organizados exclusivamente para disfrutar de esta feria, que cada año continúa superándose tanto en éxito de convocatoria como de ventas.
Esta afluencia masiva de visitantes se notó también ayer en los comercios vegueros, especialmente en los negocios de restauración, que no aceptaban reservas y que se mantuvieron al completo durante toda la jornada. Un ejemplo claro es el de Dulcería San Mateo (en la foto), que ayer se quedó pequeña para acoger a tanta clientela, que se agolpaba en las puertas esperando su turno para disfrutar de un buen dulce.
