La adquisición, que se ha realizado a través de una subvención recibida desde la Consejería de Recursos Humanos, Organización, Educación y Juventud del Cabildo de Gran Canaria, permitirá enriquecer las enseñanzas instrumentales de la Escuela de Música, tanto a nivel individual, como colectivo, ya que el material que se ha adquirido en esta ocasión puede ser destinado al uso de varios alumnos y alumnas dependiendo de la especialidad instrumental que curse en la Escuela, llegando a ser utilizado por la totalidad del alumnado en algunas especialidades.
Esta adquisición ha sido valorada positivamente por la Concejala delegada en Educación y Cultura del Ayuntamiento de San Mateo, Iluminada Santana, quien ha señalado que «La Concejalía de Educación se muestra muy satisfecha con esta nueva adquisición de instrumentos musicales que ha sido posible gracias a la colaboración y apoyo del Cabildo de Gran Canaria, y continuamos trabajando para que la formación y la educación en esta disciplina sea de la mayor calidad posible para todo el alumnado de la Escuela”.
