Las Fiestas en honor a Nuestra Señora de Fátima, que vienen celebrándose en San Mateo desde el pasado domingo, alcanzan este fin de semana su recta final.
Tras la procesión de ayer por las calles Avenida Tinamar, Vuelta de El Chorrillo y Principal, este sábado se celebrará la que tradicionalmente suele ser una de las procesiones más multitudinarias.
La Misa dará comienzo a las 20:00 horas y será oficiada por el Reverendo D. Nicolas Monche López, Deán de la Iglesia Catedral Basílica de Canarias y Cura Párroco de Santa María del Mar, en la capital grancanaria. Tras la Misa, la Virgen volverá a salir en procesión, que esta noche recorrerá las calles Cifuentes, El Retiro, Los Chorros, La Feria y Lourdes.
Para esta jornada los vecinos han preparado más de 42 kg de pólvora, por lo que se prevé que los fuegos artificiales volverán a ser protagonistas de la noche.
Las fiestas llegarán a su fin mañana domingo con la celebración, a partir de las 12:00 h. de la Misa de Enfermos, una misa que cada año congrega a multitud de personas y que servirá para poner punto y final a las fiestas de este año.
