Tras la celebración de las fiestas populares de Barrios Cumbreros y Utiaca, el siguiente barrio veguero en celebrar sus fiestas es Ariñez, que como cada año homenajea a su patrona, María Auxiliadora.
Entre los actos más destacados del programa, que adelantamos en la mañana de hoy en Noticias de San Mateo, cabe señalar un año más la celebración del ya tradicional Encuentro Folclórico, que este año se celebra el 23 de junio y que volverá a congregar a varias agrupaciones folclóricas en el local social del barrio. Los amantes del mundo del motor tendrán dos citas importantes los días 27 de mayo y 17 de junio. El 27 en la celebración de una exposición de motos y bicicletas clásicas, y el 17 de junio en una exposición de vehículos matriculados hasta el año 1986. Por otro lado, los más religiosos podrán disfrutar del Triduo en honor a María Auxiliadora el jueves 31 de mayo y el 1 de junio, además de la celebración del Corpus, el sábado día 2 a las 18:00 h. y de la función religiosa y posterior procesión el día 3 de junio a las 12:00 h.
Además, este año la organización ha incorporado un nuevo evento al programa de actos: una gran gala que se celebrará el día 9 de junio a las 19:30 horas en el local social y durante la cual habrá una obra de teatro, actuación musical y el concurso “¿Sabes más que un niño de Ariñez?”
