Vecinos de los barrios se quejan del servicio de recogida de basura

contenedor lagunetas Vecinos de diferentes barrios de La Vega de San Mateo se encuentran disgustados con el servicio de recogida de basura, y es que en las últimas semanas se han producido retrasos en la recogida de los contenedores en diferentes puntos del municipio.  

En barrios como La Yedra, Las Lagunetas (foto) o Cueva Grande la basura se ha ido acumulando en los contenedores e incluso fuera de ellos. Este periódico se ha puesto en contacto con la empresa responsable del servicio, Ayaguares Medioambiente, cuyo gerente, Antonio Díaz, asegura que en las últimas semanas el servicio se ha visto saturado por el aumento de toneladas de residuos urbanos así como de trastos. El gerente de Ayagaures achaca esta situación a que “en verano la población de San Mateo se incrementa y esto hace que se genere más basura que el resto del año, por lo que los servicios que tenemos programados se hacen insuficientes”, afirma, asegurando además que hay contenedores que se recogen por las mañanas y por la tarde ya están otra vez llenos. “A esto hay que sumar que esta semana el miércoles fue festivo, por lo que no teníamos autorización para descargar los camiones en el Ecoparque, lo que ha hecho que se retrase todo aún más”, lamenta Díaz.

Para resolver esta problemática, el gerente asegura que esta misma noche (viernes) se reforzarán los servicios en todo el municipio, esperando que la situación se normalice “cuanto antes”.

Por otra parte, desde la empresa afirman que en ocasiones los camiones no pueden acceder a determinadas calles o zonas “porque nos encontramos con coches aparcados en sitios que hacen imposible la entrada del camión”. A esta circunstancia hay que sumar una situación que se produce a menudo, principalmente en verano, y que tanto instituciones como los propios vecinos han denunciado públicamente en diferentes ocasiones, y es que muchos vecinos realizan limpiezas en sus casas o jardines y tiran trastos viejos o restos de poda junto a los contenedores o dentro de ellos, no haciéndolo en los días previos a la recogida de trastos o en el punto limpio municipal.
