Como cada año se celebró en San Mateo la prueba de «scalextric» más antigua de España, el Rally Slot Tinamar. En esta ocasión la prueba no contaba para ningún campeonato, aunque esto no mermó de ninguna manera la lista de inscritos, ya que cerca de sesenta participantes eran los que estaban apriori dispuestos a partir en la competición.

En el cómputo general, Nicolás Pérez avisaría desde el primer bucle que había venido a ganar con su Opel Manta 400 que nos trasladaba a otro tiempo. Pero Nicolás no lo tuvo fácil, ya que se encontraría en el camino a Josué Martín, con el mismo vehículo, quién ya había mostrado gran ritmo imponiéndose en el Rally Slot de Aríñez hace unos pocos meses. Finalmente sería «Mimi» Pérez quién se llevó el gato al agua, dejando en segunda posición a Martín y a José Antonio Domínguez en tercer lugar.

En lo que a las categorías se refiere cabe destacar que tanto Nicolás Pérez como Josué Martín encabezarían el grupo H3, dejando en tercer lugar a Dónovan González con un impecable Toyota Celica Gt-Four St165. En el grupo WRC, los vehículos referencia en el Slot, la victoria decaería en manos de Sebastián Reina, una de las alma máter de esta prueba, quién cada año intenta dar el 200% por la organización de este evento. Tras «Chano» Reina acabarían Cristian Falcón y Marco Acosta, los tres irían con Toyota Celica Gt-Four St205.

En el grupo WRC 2 José Antonio Domínguez impondría el Hyundai i20 R5 delante de su compañero de escudería Juan Carlos Fleitas, a quienes acompañó en el pódium el piloto de Utiaca, Alexis Déniz, último vencedor del Rally Slot Tinamar en 2017 y que repetía montura, un Subaru Impreza WRC. 

Si en la categoría WRC hubo monopolio de la marca Toyota, en el grupo Super N ocurriría lo mismo, pero con diferente marca, Subaru, ya que los tres primeros clasificados manejaban unos Impreza WRC. El primer clasificado fue el satauteño Iván Cerpa, quien tendría una bonita pugna con José Mario Alonso, que acabaría segundo; la tercera posición era para el joven veguero Carlos Navarro. En la categoría N clásico se repetiría otra hegemonía, la de los vetustos Opel Manta 400, que a manos de Yonathan Hernández, Yeray Ramírez y Echedey Peña copaban los tres primeros puestos del podium. 

Por otro lado, en los vehículos de serie, o grupo N, ganaría el Citroën Xsara WRC de Gerardo Santana, por delante del Subaru Impreza WRC de Bartolomé López, que dejaban al palmero Tomás Pérez y su Peugeot 208 R5 en tercera posición; Pérez lucía una bonita decoración en su Peugeot en modo de homenaje a Juan Pedro Peña «Picholi», una leyenda en el mundo del slot que nos dejaba el pasado año. Por último, entre los jóvenes de la categoría N Junior vencería Airam Hernández, por delante de Ariadna Rivero y Ancor González, tres nombres a tener en cuenta en el futuro del «scalextric».

Y así llegaba a su fin una edición más del rally decano del mundo del slot en España, el legendario Tinamar. Cabe destacar también el buen saber hacer de la organización, ya que preparar un evento de este calibre conlleva una responsabilidad. Todo el equipo de la Asociación de Minibólidos Tinamar consiguió estar a la altura del gran nombre del rally, que fue un éxito.
